sugar soap. It’s gentle enough to use on painted surfaces (even cheap ones) but strong enough to cut through unwanted marks. You can get it from places like K-Mart, Grocery Store or Hardware stores and it’s cheap as chips.

Magic Eraser will do it. You could dip a damp rag in baking soda and scrub in circular motion. WD-40 sprayed on and scrubbed in a circular motion along with dishwashing soap. Repeat if necessary.
